Growing up in Red Deer, I had the opportunity to be involved with basketball in this city from a young age. Over the course of my dual-degree in education and kinesiology and beyond, I have coached women's basketball for over 7 years. Coming back to Red Deer after my degree, I saw a need to provide more opportunities for competitive development of the women's side of basketball in the fall and spring seasons, and thus HYPE Hoops was born. 

Kennedy has joined our coaching staff this year after a season of work with coach Mills at Notre Dame High School. Kennedy's experience in the game, playing 3 years of senior high ball, provides her with a great basis to assist in coaching high-level competition. Her competitive drive fits well into the culture of HYPE Hoops.
