Reid Mills
Reid holds dual degrees in Education and Kinesiology, with 10 years of coaching experience and 25+ combined seasons on the bench across school and club basketball. He founded HYPE Hoops to close a real gap in Red Deer — spring opportunities for girls who wanted to keep playing existed, but were always full, unable to support the actual demand in the city. What started as a solution for that group grew further when Red Deer Minor Basketball ceased operations and HYPE Hoops stepped in to take over its grassroots programming, extending the club from a first dribble at 5U through competitive travel ball at 18U. The goal has stayed the same since day one: a club where cost and background never determine access to the game.
